Here's what the humans have to say about me:
IDGSR WELCOMES LEAH INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!!!!
Leah and her sister Sissy are still more pups who were born into this world to irresponsible pet owners who let their animals breed willy nilly and not spay and neuter. This irresponsible and selfish act costs millions of lives every year due to the gluts of dogs that end up in the shelter system.
Leah and Sissy are extremely bonded, one can hardly do anything without the other, while we can separate them, finding a loving home that will take both girls would be ideal.
They were being delivered to a gassing shelter in North Carolina when a rescuer intervened on their behalf to save their lives, if they had not, both girls would likely not be here.
We were told that their mom was a Akita mix and dad a German Shepherd and while we can see a little of both in the girls, they are
small bodied girls, neither girl will likely be more than 45-50lbs. so these darling little Shepherd mix girls will not be big dogs.
Sweet as they can be, they need more socializing and confidence building and basic obedience work, Sound like a lot? Well they are still pups,
orphans who've not had the best start in life. They are needing a family who will give them a great life, be patient with them and teach them that there are loving families out there.
If you would like to make one or both of the girls members of your family
please apply with this rescue at the link below by copying and pasting.
