Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bratwurst is a very sweet, loyal and loving, ten-year-old, 28-pound, male, Min Pin looking for a loving guardian.
Poor Bratwurst was dropped off at Chicago Animal Care and Control at 36 pounds of pudgy sickness. The poor guy was ill with Cushings disease and almost died if it were not for the loving intervention of his foster mom, vet and the Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control.
Bratwurst is great with other dogs and children. Because of his still pudgy, but shrinking bulk, Bratwurst is typically incapable of getting on furniture. He’s mostly housebroken but has the occasional accident if he doesn’t get in a minimum of four outings a day.
Bratwurst has a great disposition; he warms up to new people and dogs quickly. His nub of a tail is always happily wagging. He doesn’t know commands but will do just about anything for a piece of turkey, including dancing on his hind legs. He even does well in a room full of dogs at doggy daycare. In the home, Bratwurst is relaxed and enjoys his naps. Lots of walks and a healthy diet will help him recover from his illness. He also takes medicine daily for his Cushings disease; he’s easy to medicate because he takes the drugs like they are a treat!
Bratwurst is otherwise healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, fecal and heartworm-tested and micro-chipped. To meet and possibly adopt him, please contact his foster mom Virginia at virginny@tradertodd.com or 773-837-1122. His adoption fee of $200 benefits the rescued dogs of Friends of Chicago Animal Care & Control. He is being fostered in Chicago.
