Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Our magnificent Mongo the Mastiff is back and looking for a wonderful, forever home of his own. Boy, what a rough time of it Mongo has had. This 5 1/2 year old big boy came to us quite a while ago from our Newark facility as a stray. His owner was located, but he never returned to reclaim him. When Mongo moved down to Popcorn Park, we just loved this gentle giant as soon as he sat down and offered us a pawshake in friendship. Mongo spent some time with our general population in our kennel but we felt that he may need a larger space due to his size, so Mongo moved into our Animal Haven area. He enjoyed his giant yard and getting plenty of attention for his loving caretaker too. Finally Mongo got noticed and was adopted, but was returned several months later when it just didn't work out. Mongo is going back to the drawing board, and looking for a wonderful family that will never give up on him again. He is so loving and affectionate, and even though people have let him down in the past, Mongo doesn't hold that against anyone. He is very well behaved and will sit politely when asked, walks like a perfect gentleman on a leash, and is housebroken too. What more could you ask for? Mongo would prefer a home with no children under the age of 10 and no cats or other dogs. Mongo has been hoping for a family to love and care for him the way he deserves....please make his dreams come true! File#23428 4/10/14
