This beautiful boy is Lightening, an 8 year old German shorthaired pointer that came to us from our Newark facility in search of a great new home of his own. Lightening had a home, but his family turned him in because they were moving. Lightening is understandably a bit shaken up to be uprooted from the home that he had known for his whole life and brought to an unfamiliar place, but he has settled in and is looking forward to a bright new future with a family that will love him forever. Lightening is a mild-mannered, sweet guy that looks as if he's been a bit neglected over the years. He is well behaved and easy going, and just wants to be your friend. Lightening is very content with taking a nice, long walk to check things out, and even when he's in our giant exercise yard, he prefers to take his time with roaming around and sniffing out the world around him, as opposed to running and playing. Please don't be deterred by Lightening's age......he's got plenty of energy and spunk, and has many good years ahead of him. Lightening is a sociable guy that doesn't seem to mind other dogs much and just loves people of all ages. He is so deserving of a fresh start in life.....please give our lovable Lightening a chance.
