My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

FOSTER UPDATE 4/25/15: Bella is a GREAT running partner for anyone looking for an active dog. She was able to run a 5k easily and enjoyed every second of it. She was smiling and wagging her tail the whole way through, even through the rain! Bella knows several commands and is well trained. She is a super sweet dog that loves to cuddle too. Bella is an all around wonderful dog who just needs an active owner that can give Bella the exercise she needs.

Bella is a sweet, friendly, smart, loyal, and athletic 3 year old mix. She LOVES retrieving tennis balls, running, chewing bones, riding in the car, and snuggling up in a dog bed. She is crate trained, housetrained and not destructive. She has been trained to an invisible fence. She is swimming like a champ and just recently braved jumping off the dock. She knows the basics...sit, down, stay, come, leave it, and a wait at the door. She loves kids (is currently living with a 5 year old, a seven year old, and a 10 year old). She is a high energy dog and requires daily outlets for that energy, but this is easily accomplished with a chuck it/tennis ball and having nylabones available. As an only dog, she is VERY easy to live with. She gets along with most other dogs, but can be a bit much for some personalities and definitely likes to be in charge. She would do best with males dogs who have a similar physical play style....in which case she will happily wear them out and keep them in line!

FOSTER UPDATE! Bella is really sweet, friendly with people (she is VERY tolerant and good with kids), and loves snuggling up in her dog bed (she is not allowed on our furniture), getting loved on, playing with toys, chewing bones, and retrieving tennis balls! She gets along with 85% of other dogs...she LOVES to play and some dogs don't appreciate her enthusiasm/intensity. She will resource guard bones and tennis balls from other dogs, but not in a vicious way and not at all with people or kids. She has energy, but is not hard to live with. She knows most of the basics...sit, down, stay, come, get back, leave it. She is still working on leash skills around other dogs, but is otherwise pretty good with that too. Bella can't wait to find her forever home - is that with you?

*Bella would do best in a home and not an apartment.
