Simba's Story...
Simba is a 1.5 yr old chihuahua mix who weighs 6 pounds. He is super friendly and sweet once he gets to know you. When initially meeting new people he will bark, but it only takes him a couple minutes to warm up. He loves other dogs and cats and will make a great companion. Simba would love a home with a fenced in yard and another small, playful dog. Simba's adoption fee of $225 goes towards the cost of his vetting, which includes a neuter, rabies, distemper shot, heartworm test, fecal test and microchip.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website at www.perfectpooches.org under the "Adoption Process" tab. All dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm tested ( as appropriate), fecal tested, and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Simba, a Romeoville Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Romeoville, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Romeoville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Romeoville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Romeoville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Romeoville paves the way for another one to be saved.
