Dottie's Story...
5/12 - Look up spunky in the dictionary and Dottie’s picture should be there. She’s 12 pounds of terrier. Her silky white hair is polka-dotted with mini black spots. Her coat is easily kept with occasional bath and brushing.
Dottie is quite the fireball at play and loves to terrorize her stuffed animals. She shreds them but does not chew on things she shouldn’t. She’s always ready for a good cuddle. She will stare at you with her intense dark eyes , waiting for you to invited her into your lap.
Dottie has an outgoing and happy personality. Dottie’s owner had to relinquish her pets due to her health. Dottie often goes to the nursing home to visit her former owner and the other residents. Dottie springs into their laps and lies still to be stroked. She is very gentle with the elderly /handicapped. They all love her and will miss her dearly.
Dottie is both smart and agile. She has learned a couple of tricks and with some individual attention could learn more. She very much enjoys car rides and walks nicely on a leash. She is housebroken, both paper trained and to a doggie door.
Dottie is spayed, up to date with vaccinations and micro chipped. She has lives with several dogs and cats at her foster home, but she is definitely a people dog. She is a fantastic house pet and deserves a great home. Dottie is 7 years old.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dottie, a Jemez Springs Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier for sale in Jemez Springs, or seeking a Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Jemez Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jemez Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jemez Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jemez Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
