Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We all know how we get that awww feeling when we see an adorable young puppy. Abbey is the kind of pup who snuggles in, loves you up and then puts her tiny head on your shoulder. She's so new and fresh with every possibility open to her. That's the case unless they're in a high-kill shelter that quickly runs out of space. We're so grateful for the efforts of our great Texas rescuer in saving Abbey and her 3 siblings...she could see that all their temperaments were so sweet and calm that she couldn't allow any of them to be euthanized. Abbey was immediately brought to be vetted and was brought to a great Houston foster home to receive pure love and begin her education. It turns out that Abbey, (at only 7 weeks old and 3.5 lbs is the chunkiest and appears to be the most outgoing of the pups) is expected to be approximately 10-12 lbs when full-grown. She is very calm and so very engaging that it's become a fun and rewarding experience for her foster mom. Abbey is cute as a button and so silly. She is like a blank slate...open and curious about everything around her. If Abbey continues this regiment of socialization that promote positive relationships with other dogs and bonding with humans...Abbey will become a well-adjusted and pleasant adult companion. She is a gorgeous Doxie mix puppy with the cutest markings ever (although we can't see anything but Doxie, we assume there's a bit of something else like Yorkie in there) with a shining coat that speaks of good health. Abbey's calm yet silly demeanor is just who she is...she just appears to be more entertaining than your average puppy. If she is treated kindly with clear behavioral guidelines, Abbey will become a well-adjusted girl who respects her people as her leaders. This is the kind of family we're searching for for this sweet and cuddly girl. We also feel it's very important that she is provided with exercise and mental stimulation. She would be overjoyed with walks along Colorado paths and enjoying the sunshine. We'd like a family who spends lots of time at home and chooses to include a fuzzy companion in their activities. Abbey can be taught that the car is a fun place that leads to great adventures out in the community and can therefore accompany her family just about anywhere. Abbey will be arriving in Denver unfixed due to her very young age...Farfel's will be happy to cover all costs in regard to her spay, microchip and any additional puppy shots she might require. We can't determine at this point if Abbey is a shedder. Lots of sudsy baths and serious brushing combined with great nutrition will keep this puppy's coat healthy and silky-soft. Abbey will be arriving on transport in Denver on 5/23. Applications are currently being accepted for this adorable and lovable puppy.
