Are you looking for a sweet, petite (27 lbs) and active companion? Then you should meet Behr!
Behr is a 2 year old spayed female Border Collie/Australian Cattle dog mix. She is quite the looker with her stunning brown eyes and agile body. Shy in new situations, Behr quickly warms up with some reassurance; just whisper sweet nothings to her and give her a gentle hand. Behr is very praise motivated, giving tail wags (well stump) and a little happy dance when told she is a “good girl” in a cheerful and positive voice.
Once she gets to know you, Behr enjoys tummy rubs and will lean in for affection. There are no children in Behr’s foster home, but when out at events and for walks she is drawn to them. Behr does very well with calm children and is happy to soak up all the attention. Behr bonds strongly with people once you have gained her trust and is a very devoted companion
Behr does well with other dogs, but can be intimidated if they are dominant. She is best in a home without cats or birds due to her high prey drive. Behr loves to chase the birds that fly into the yard, even following the ones who just fly over. She LOVES squeaky toys and will even toss the toy in the air herself if you are not throwing for her. Behr will chase after the toy and get it; however we are still working on bringing it back. Nyla bones are her favorite chew toy. She will also need a home with a 6’ fence – no electric fences please.
House trained, crate trained, walks well on a leash and doing well with basic commands, and did we say adorable; what more could you ask for? Behr has an active mind and body and as such she needs a family that will keep her working in some fashion; walks, training, playing a few times a day and she is a rockstar.
Are you willing to offer Behr a patient home with exercise, love, structure and attention?
Behr is spayed, current on vaccinations and microchipped.
