My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Now that we have gotten to know Theo better we are updating his information. Theo is a 3 year old neutered male Aussie who weighs about 46 pounds. He is perfectly housebroke (asks to go out when he needs to), patient and quiet in his crate, loves to ride in the car, comes when called when off leash, and is well behaved in the house. He loves to play fetch and tug (and has learned to do both while adhering to rules set by his foster family), is food motivated and focused on his people. He loves water and jumps right in to splash around. When we first got Theo he was resource guarding from other dogs. With training this behavior has almost completely disappeared and he lives peaceably with 6 other dogs in his foster home. Theo is great with strangers, he will bark when people come but then is friendly and calm around visitors. He will chase our cat that runs but not the cats that don't run - typical aussie behavior. I think Theo would love dock diving, obedience, or agility but would also be perfectly happy with an active family that wanted to go hiking, play fetch in the back yard, and/or had another dog that wanted a playmate. He is a medium energy, fun-loving aussie - whoever adopts this guy will have won the rescue lottery.
