I am already neutered, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.
Who couldn't love those hound ears? Meet Clyde! He is a 5 month old Hound / Terrier Mix who came to us all the way from Puerto Rico. He originated from a litter of 5 puppies and some nice volunteers helped them get all the way to a shelter in Massachusetts. Two of them were way too scared in the shelter so they are now a part of Broken Tail Rescue. He weighs about 20 lbs. Clyde is nervous. He is very quiet and has limited access to the house because we are afraid if he got under a bed he might not come out! Clyde arrived a day later than his sister and she was showing him the ropes of the new foster home. We have separated them to help them be more social. He allows all handling but definitely avoids people as much as possible. He is very evasive. Clyde will need a very special person or family to show him what it means to be a dog. He is so terrified right now and he will benefit from lots of positive exposure to new noises, sights, people, everything. He has already proven to be extremely sweet even in her state of fear. He has a lot of potential and is already showing improvement but he does have a long road ahead of him! This is an amazing opportunity to adopt a beautiful dog and show him how awesome life can be in a loving home. He deserves to be loved and spoiled!

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
