My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Brooks is absolutely a rare find for any family. He's a gorgeous Bearded Collie/Sheltie(?)mix - (this is the breed ID made by the vets in Kansas-we just really aren't sure but these breeds seem the closest) with the most striking golden markings. He is simply beautiful...both inside and out. He's a fairly quiet puppy (after he's exercise and play time) and at about 6 months old is very much a blank slate waiting for positive direction and leadership to understand that the world around him is a safe place. He has already learned to love his relationships with kind humans and canines and is on his way to discovering that the world is a great place. He's open to relationships with everyone he meets...of every age group, including other dogs. Brooks LOVES to play and is very puppyish when he does so. He could not be happier, however, than in the time he spends with the people who love him. Brooks would be overjoyed with long hikes - as a puppy he requires exercise and socialization to become the greatest adult dog he can be. A trail or a path is a great opportunity for making friends and fun for a young pup. At day's end, we can see Brooks snuggling on the couch after a day of exercise and adventure. We can learn a great deal from a positive spirit like Brooks...we learn to forgive those who were unkind or harsh and move on with a great attitude and a joy for life. Brooks is just about 7 months old and approximately 28 lbs (his adult weight is estimated at about 35-38 lbs). He has a way about him that brings a smile to the face of anyone in his company. His cotton-soft coat makes Brooks truly resembles a fuzzy and snuggly teddy-bear. Farfel's has been incredibly impressed by the love that shines forth from this small boy and feels that he deserves the most devoted and involved (both with time and energy) dog guardians we can gift to him. Brooks isn't suggested for those with allergy concerns as he is not a non-shedding guy.
Brooks is being fostered in Denver. Applications are currently being accepted and Meet and Greets are being set up for this exceptional and incredibly cute companion.
