Here's what the humans have to say about me:
People with the name Maddie tend to be passionate, compassionate, intuitive, romantic, and to have magnetic personalities. Because they are so affectionate and giving, they easily fall in love, but may be easily hurt.
FOSTER LOCATION: Meridian, ID
Now our girl Maddie may have 4 feet rather than 2 but this 8 year old, female Lab/Border mix fits that description perfectly. In Maddie’s previous life she was crated 12 hours a day and her human just didn’t have much time for her; that didn’t keep Maddie from searching and pining for her mom after she was turned into the shelter. Maddie is now in a foster home and has adjusted beautifully.
Maddie is a sweet, calm but active dog who loves to retrieve, her second favorite activity aside from being with her people. This girl is an absolute love and would be more than happy to spend the day doing whatever you are doing. Maddie is great with people of all ages; she would be perfect in an older couple home so she can spend a lot of time with them, but would also love an energetic family setting and someone to play ball with.
She is good with other dogs and cats. She loves being brushed, tolerates bath time well and loves to ride in the car. She loves tummy rubs, and is crate and house trained. She knows “sit”, “stay”, “come”, “down”, “heel”, “shake”, “fetch” and has quickly learned the command "out of the kitchen." She is a smart girl who is very food motivated and could probably learn many new tricks and commands. She is a tad bit overweight and will need some daily walks – she’s good on leash so that is an enjoyable event.
She is great with male dogs, she’s a bit pickier about females and she is good with cats.

Maddie has been spayed, vaccinated and microchippped.
