My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Imagine......being sick with pneumonia, blind in one eye and in pain, and being a tiny kitten, less than two pounds, all by yourself in this big world. Tough to imagine, but not for our little girl Venus. This is what our little kitten went through before she came to us when she was found as a stray, with no siblings or mom around her. Venus was so sick when she came in. She had a terrible viral infection that went into her eye, causing her eye to rupture. She also struggled to breathe and eat at first, but with the loving care that she received from our veterinary team and our staff, little Venus was made comfortable and got herself stronger and stronger every day. Soon, she found her purr again and was looking forward to mealtime and cuddle time with her caretakers.

It took a little while to get Venus back on her feet but once she was well enough, our veterinarian team got straight to work on her little ruptured eye. Sadly, the eye was so far gone that it had to be removed and once it was, Venus was like a brand new girl. She is now so happy, healthy, and just loves life. She is still healing from surgery yet she's already having fun and batting around toys. Venus is so well adjusted and gets around very well. She just loves people and can't wait to start her life over again with a wonderful, loving family that will never let her go.

We were able to save this little lady because of generous people like you that contribute to our Res-Q Fund. Our Res-Q Fund was set up specifically for animals in need, like Venus, that come to us for help. Venus will be getting her sutures removed in about a week, then she'll be ready to move on to a happy, safe home. This 3 month old little girl is interviewing potential adopters now, so please stop by to see our little Venus.
