My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Cookie. She came to the Rescue from a neglect case and is so incredibly grateful to be rescued and to be safe, clean and loved. Her story is a sad one. After her loving, devoted owner passed away, she ended up in a home where the caretaker went to jail, leaving Cookie to fend for herself while locked in a room. She is such a great cat! Healthy and happy, she is looking for a forever home to call her own. Cookie is litterbox trained and declawed on all four paws. She is very friendly and affectionate, an all-around great family pet. Cookie needs to live inside only. All she wants is someone to love and to spend time with. This is a cat who will be forever grateful, forever loyal and forever loving to the people who can give her the lifelong home she so deserves. Please give her a chance! Adoption fee: $60 and includes testing, vaccinations and spay.

    Adoption and Foster Care Application

    Adoption Process:
Complete the application at www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
