Hillary's Story...
Hilliary is a 5.5 year old, purebred chow chow whose owners could not longer care for her! She is an angel and is one of the very best chows we have ever had in our adoption program. She is friendly, engaged and loves to give kisses. Her hobbies are eating hot dogs and sleeping on the kitchen floor. Hilliary has excellent housemanners and prefers to be inside with her family most of the day. She is great with other dogs and reportedly, used to live with kids and cats.

A $175.00 adoption donation helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases, microchipped and vaccinated for rabies, distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites if needed. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as surgeries and dentals. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hillary, a Staunton Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chow Chow for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chow Chow breeders who help with Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
