My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

TF? Well, meet Wayne. Wayne came to us when his shelter kill date was set and no one else offered to take him. We also got his friend, Willie and three other hounds from the same shelter at the same time. If you are wondering why TF he had TF stamped on his hips, he was hunting dog. Running deer west of the Blue Ridge is not legal so we don't see many deer dogs in our area. This is also a common way to identify hounds used for hunting fox and coyotes...the letters being the owners initials. Unlike the freeze brands we sometimes see, this is just paint and didn't hurt him. It's long since washed off in the months Wayne has been waiting for an adopter.

Wayne is a middle aged hound who is short and stout and has gained a lof of weight with us! He kinda looks like a beagle and barks like one too. Wayne is all kindness and happiness with a love of fine food...or any food. He may be a bit hard of hearing as the scars on his ears hint to chronic, intreated ear infections. But hey, it just makes him a better sleeper. Wayne has learned all kinds of good things in his foster home! He LOVES baby pools, naps and has good manners and we don't know why TF no one wants sweet Wayne!

Wayne's adoption fee is reduced to $100.
