My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ahoy there mates! My name is Captain. I am a 1 year old Corgi mix bloke with gorgeous silky red hair and black tufts on the tips of my ears and tail. I love everyone although I need a little time to warm up when meeting new people, especially men. When I meet someone I don't know, I act like a tough guy. I use my deep bark to let them know that even though I am small (17 lbs), I am brave. Despite my less than warm welcome, I am quick to make new friends. Let me sniff you, offer me a treat and we will be buddies in no time. I am quiet in the house, not destructive, and good about doing my business outside. I get along well with other dogs, walk nicely on a leash and enjoy hanging out in the yard (love the shade). Sometimes in my enthusiasm to greet you, I get carried away and jump up. I am learning basic commands (sit, come, off) but will need my family to continue my training. My eyes look a little unusual but my vet says they work just fine.
I am neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped.
If you are looking for a sweet, gentle, bundle of love, please consider adding me to your crew. Act fast!

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.Captain
