Arlo Guthrie's Story...
Arlo Guthrie is approx 1 year old and 26 lbs, he looks like a wheaten mix. He does shed and is not hypoallergenic as he is a mix. He was treated for heart worms and is on a monthly preventative that our rescue requires that the dogs stay on for the rest of their lives, his heart worms should be clear in 4-6 months. He is a very happy little dog and quite active, he loves to run and play and wants to be your best friend and will follow you wherever you go. He is fairly well house trained but not perfect and could do with some leash training. He gets along great with all of the other rescues and has a really nice personality. He is a bouncy dog and so would not be a good match for toddlers or small children that he may knock over by accident.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Arlo Guthrie, a Norwalk Wheaten Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Wheaten Terrier for sale in Norwalk, or seeking a Wheaten Terrier dog from a breeder in Norwalk.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Norwalk already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Norwalk breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Wheaten Terrier breeders who help with Wheaten Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Norwalk paves the way for another one to be saved.
