7.5 year old Male Red & White Purebred Turkish Van

February Update: Basil is doing very well. He is such a full service cat. He is playful and curious and busy, and very loving and full of it. You would think he was a kitten if he weren’t such a big boy. He loves crinkly paper and he never met a feather he didn’t want to eat. He is full of life and so entertaining. It is a good thing he would rather be an only cat because who would need, or have time, for another with him around.

Basil is a retired award-winning show cat that is ready to be loved and doted on for the rest of his life. He is a CFA papered boy and he knows it! What confidence! Also, if you've been on the fence on whether to get a dog or a cat, then you should consider Basil. He is a big boy at 14 lbs, high energy and is VERY affectionate and loving. He will follow you around like a puppy. Since he is underfoot alot, he is not a good match for balance-challenged people.

He does not accept other cats so easily, so he should be adopted alone. He will rub all over you and tends to be a bit mouthy, especially with toes and ankles so he will do best in a home with no children.
