Mushu is an adorable 2-year old Jack Russell Terrier mix, weighing in at a perfectly plump 15 pounds.
Why Mushu? Well Mushu grows the a cute little beard that makes him look like the dragon from Mulan -- sure to be a kid-favorite.
There's nothing more lovely then coming home and seeing him waiting at the window, paws on the sill, eager for to greet you. When you're in, he'll jump around, then settle right down. He's one of the calmest JRTs i've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Nothing shakes him; he's phenomenal with dogs (all types, quiet and excited alike), crate-trained, rarely barks, and he's super happy to just lounge around with you all day soaking up sunlight and eating peanuts (he loves those!)
When you first get him, he may be a teensy bit nervous or shy, and it might take a few hours to him to come around (but what dog in a brand new environment wouldn't be a little nervous?). Really, all he wants is a nice walk with his new owner. Once you get a leash on him and take him for his first walk, the sky is the limit for the love he has to give. The best thing about walking with Mushu is how well-behaved he is. He doesn't pull, he doesn't run, he follows the direction you go in, he stops when you stop, he doesn't get distracted by other dogs or other people -- he's just happy to be led by you on a leisurely stroll through the neighborhood.
Mushu isn't very treat-motivated, but he's incredibly belly-rub motivated. If he's laying down and seeing you walk by, he will flip over onto his back, curl his paws, and invite you to give him the belly rubs he enjoys so much.
