Portia's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Portia's Story...
Portiaaaaaa! This sweet girl is about 3 years old and is a gorrrrrrgeous black boxer mix. She is super sweet and does well on a leash. She gets along well with other dogs with proper introduction, but most likely will need a home without cats. Portia does well with children, but with her size and puppy-like nature, we are recommending a home with children over 12. She is crate and house trained.

If you're interested in adopting, please visit our website at www.c2cnd.org & click on "adoption process" to fill out an application! Adoption fee for pups up to 2 years of age is $250, 2+ years is $225, & giant breeds is $350 - this covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, heartworm test (if old enough to be tested & treatment if necessary), and spay/neuter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Portia, a Mooresville Labrador Retriever/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Boxer for sale in Mooresville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Boxer dog from a breeder in Mooresville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mooresville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mooresville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Boxer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mooresville paves the way for another one to be saved.
