My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Chip, (aka Chipper) I am a 4 year old male Bichon/Poodle mix. I am house broken and weigh only 13 lbs., I have been neutered and current on all my shots.

My previous owner did not take very good care of me and my foster Mom says that is why I gulp down my food, since I might not get another meal. She says I was yelled at and maybe hit and that is why I lay on my back in submission when I hear a loud noise or voice. Also, may explain why I won’t jump in anyone’s lap without being picked up.

But I am getting better and respond quickly to training. I am very smart , have lots of energy and run around the house and yard very fast. I love toys, particularly balls. I will run and fetch as long as you want. My foster mom has a female bichon/poodle who is a lot bigger than me. Gabby has a toy box full of toys which she never plays with. I love to go through it and pick out the balls and chew toys. Then she chases me, which is fun.

I love to jump on the couch to snuggle and watch TV with my foster family. I also love to jump on the bed and although I will sleep in my crate if I have to, I prefer sleeping with my foster parents. I curl up next to them and sleep all night long. I can jump on my hind legs for attention and love to go for walks. I love to follow my fosters around the house and lay at their feet to keep them company. Chip has the most loving, playful nature and will be a great addition to any family with time to spend with him.

Children in the home need to be at least 10 and Chip will need another dog in the home to play with.
