My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I got my name Angel because I am a very sweet girl, but mainly because my guardian angel was watching over me. When I was a much smaller puppy, approx 8 weeks old, I was thrown into a local creek---crate and all. I had one of the worst cases of mange and I guess my owner just thought the only way to get rid of it was to get rid of me too. The crate door was not secure and my survival instincts kicked in. I struggled and struggled and finally freed myself from the crate and from certain death by drowning. A local resident found me there on the banks and saw the crate in the water. She knew I needed help so she took me into the vet's office. Mange is certainly something that the vet can treat and they started treatment immediately. A local rescue volunteer decided to take me home to be fostered with her and her other dogs so off I went. I was not feeling so good for the first week or so. But the mange healed, my coat has grown back in and they say that because of my coloring, I am called a Blue Pit Bull.

I have completed all of my vaccines, been spayed, and have been on all my monthly preventatives since the very beginning. I am being fostered with 5 other dogs and have been fostered briefly at another house who had 6 dogs and 2 cats. I am friendly and lovable to them all. I am your typical puppy, though, and love to run and play and do what most puppies like to do. I am working with a local trainer now on basic commands. I am house broken and will stay in my crate without issue. My ears seem to want to take flight and look like wings on an airplane on each side of my head. I have almost a little heart shaped spot on the tip of my nose. I think I am pretty considering my very humble beginnings. If I had been a male, they would have called me Moses since I was pulled from a creek. But now they call me Angel because I am the sweetest girl ever. I am "take home" ready!
