Toby's Story...
Toby is a handsome, eight year old Maine Coon. He looks like a really big guy but he's really only around 13 pounds - the rest of him is fur!

He's an affectionate boy once he gets to know you but he can be a bit aloof with strangers. He is not wild about being picked up but he just loves being brushed!

Toby has a benign growth on his nose that has been removed twice but has grown back - it's not a problem, medically, and it doesn't seem to bother him.

Toby is declawed in the front. He's a little skittish with new dogs but seems to adjust to them pretty well.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Toby, a Worcester Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Worcester, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Worcester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Worcester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Worcester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Worcester paves the way for another one to be saved.
