My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**This is a courtesy post. Please contact John directly at the phone number below.**

I need to find a good home for Axel as our lifestyle has changed (living in a condo in Issaquah) and he spends way to much time in a kennel. Axel is a neutered male, 10 years old and with the exception of partial hearing loss and need for medication, is in great shape for his age.

Axel is a great hunting dog. He points and retrieves and has pointed and recovered pheasants, chukers, grouse and quail. What make his unique is that he is also a very good waterfowl dog. He will retrieve from a blind with great enthusiasm and handles cold water extremely well.

He is house broke, and he loves to be inside but not the sort of dog that will just settle in for the evening. He either wants to relieve him self or check out what is happening outside. The best solution is to put him to bed in a dog run and shelter in the late evening.

Axel loves other dogs, still like to play and chase despite his age. Loves people and has a gentle manner.

Last year he started to loose hair which was the result of a thyroid deficiency. Thyroid medication solved the problem and his coat is now better than ever. I am prepared to pay for the first year of his medication needs for the new owner.

If we can find the right owner, I can demonstrate how to best manage him while hunting, provide collars and beepers etc.

If you can help find the right home for this great dog, I would appreciate it. It has to be a good situation for Axel and a urban environment would be best.
