Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Murphy is an 11 month old, 45#, male pitbull mix who wants to be friends with everyone he meets including dogs, cats, kids and all adults. He was marked urgent at the shelter in southern Indiana where he was picked up as a stray, meaning he didn't have much time left. As soon as the AC was full, he would have been put down to make room for the next stray animal control would pick up. The staff and volunteers at animal control thought he was worth saving and so did Rover Rescue, so he earned a spot on the earliest transport north. His foster mom is very happy he did because this little guy is a gem of a dog who is always smiling! He loves going for car rides, going for walks, just laying around in the sun chewing on his bones and also running around in the back yard with his four legged foster sibling. He takes treats nicely and doesn't even mind some basic spa treatments like baths and ear cleanings. He is fully house trained, crate trained and knows basic commands like sit, down, no, heel (with the help of a training collar) and how to sit and wait for his meals. We are also currently working on the place command. If you want a great, loyal dog who wants to play and then cuddle up and give you lots of kisses, this is your guy!! How can you resist those beautiful eyes and that great smile!! Murphy loves all kids, but we would like for him to live in a home with older elementary school kids on up since he is a puppy and still learning not to jump on people. Murphy is neutered, heartworm negative, up to date on shots, and comes with a voucher for a free microchip.
