This boy is Tule's brother. His heritage is a mix of Abyssinian and Bengal. ( see the story in the bio for Tule ) Sevier's fur is partly " ticked" like a Aby but he has the markings and body type of a bengal. He and his sister make a very special pair. They must be adopted together.
These two kittens are named for deserts in the Great Basin of California. These photos don't show it but Sevier's eyes, like that of his sister Tule, are a sort of tawny grey brown. Beautiful. They made me think of deserts hence the desert names.
So this boy is all boy and he is a fierce play monster. You can see the confidence in his expression. The world is his playground. The adopters of this pair of kittens should expect to have more than normally athletic and active cats. This is not a pair of kittens for someone who keeps birds or aquariums or Limoges china. Their new family will need to be extra careful to keep these very smart kitties inside, which means a home with no small children would be best. Dogs- not too small- would probably be fine. What is needed is a family who can understand the special needs of these mischievous and smart and quick cats and relish the work it takes to keep them safe and inside. Goodness knows they are going to be constantly entertaining.
And so beautiful to watch.Walking sculpture.
Sevier is nicely bonded with his sister. And like her, he is affectionate and cuddly and goodnatured with humans- until someone wiggles a feather and then- zoom -he is off. He will mellow a bit eventually as he ages.
He eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.
