Arthur's Story...
Meet Arthur....Arthur is estimated to be 11 years old. He is quite the character and wonderful company. His favorite place is right along side you or in his bed. His vision is good, but he is a bit deaf.
He is recovering from surgery for bladder stones so he must eat special food to prevent stones from reoccurring and have testing done each year.
He loves to eat and could stand to loose a little weight but he is very active and keeps up with much younger housemates. His tail is always going; he greets all new experiences with a smile.
His coat was very dirty and matted when he came to us so he will soon be a white fluffy dog.
He gets along with other dogs, hasn't been with cats. No aggression seen at all he is just a happy go lucky little guy :)

Arthur would love to meet you! For more information please email info@seniordoghaven.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Arthur, a Wilmington Bichon Frise dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bichon Frise for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Bichon Frise dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bichon Frise breeders who help with Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
