Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This lovely lady that will win you over the instant you meet her. This is Nina, a pit mix that is about 5 years old. Nina has a bit of a sad story to tell, but it has a happy ending. Nina was adopted long ago from our Newark facility. After four years, Nina was returned, because her owners were moving and couldn't take her along. Nina actually cried when her owners left her that day, and when she was transferred to us at Popcorn Park, she was still crying. We discovered that Nina had a little more to cry about than just a broken heart. Nina had two ruptured cruciate ligaments and a torn meniscus. She was in a great deal of pain and we sent her out for surgery right away. Nina came through the surgery like a little trooper and even went for several weeks of water therapy afterward. She now has a clean bill of healthy and cries no more! Nina is an absolute love, and no one can walk past her without stopping to say hello to her beautiful, smiling face. She absolutely loves to go out for walks now and even runs and plays in our exercise yard. She is so loving, affectionate and well behaved too, and she's also housebroken. Nina gets along fine with most dogs and just loves people of all ages. She would love so much to be a part of a wonderful family where she will be treasured and never given up on again.
