This big, beautiful boy is Beethoven, a 6 year old St. Bernard/Newfoundland mix that is hoping for a fresh start in life. Beethoven came to us from our Newark facility when his family turned him in. Apparently, they were "tired of being harassed" by authorities about the improper care that they were giving Beethoven, so it's probably best that they gave him up. This gentle giant is so loving and sweet, and he deserves the best home ever. Beethoven is a calm, easy going guy that enjoys taking a leisurely stroll or checking things out in our exercise yard. He doesn't get riled up too often and he is content just to be with you and get some attention. Once Beethoven gets to know you, he's loving and affectionate, and will be your best friend for life. He does the big-dog-lean against your leg to get you to pet him, and his tail sways back and forth non-stop. Beethoven doesn't seem to mind other well behaved dogs and he seems to love everyone he meets. He is hoping that his special someone will come along and notice him, and give him the lifetime of happiness that he deserves. File#23743 7/25/14
