Here's what the humans have to say about me:
FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID
All Hail King Arthur!
King Arthur is a 6 year old purebred English Bulldog who tops the scales at a masculine 50 pounds.
This devilishly handsome man is a lover of adults and can be quite the lover if you’ll let him up on your lap. He loves to lick knees - just his height! His favorite game is to sit in front of you with a beloved tennis ball and growl. The growl is not menacing or aggressive - just his way of telling you to get off your butt and throw the ball for him; after all you are supposed to abide by the King. As loving and affectionate as Arthur is with adults he does not like kids at all; so no kids in his forever home.
King Arthur has also decreed that there will be no other pets in his new home; no dogs, no cats, no feathery things (he has left a loophole in the law for fish).
Arthur has the typical English Bulldog ailment - skin allergies (not a problem when kept on Ketoconazole and Apoquel). He had the soft palate reduction surgery (and castration) done in 2008. So as long as you care for his allergies he is in great health.
This boy is house trained, leash trained (he’s a dream on leash) and is wonderful in the house. He has also been neutered, is fully vaccinated and has a microchip.
A bit about the breed:
1) Needs a good daily walk
2) Bullheaded and determined, this breed can be very persistent.
3) A lot of human attention is required for the breed's happiness.
4) They snore very loudly, most have drool and slobber tendencies and are messy eaters.
5) Bulldogs need a human who will be “in charge” so the dogs don’t have to worry about life.
If you can offer King Arthur a new kingdom to call his very own please complete an adoption application at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ and we will contact you about meeting Arthur
There is a $100 adoption fee.
**Arthur is eligible for our Pets for Patriots program – if you are a veteran let us know!
