My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bob was so named because when we found him his ribs and hip bones were so easy to see through his skin and hair. We nicknamed him Bag of Bones, thus Bob. He has gained weight and looks great so the nickname Bag of Bones doesn't fit anymore. Bob is between 1 to 2 years old, very friendly, loves to go on walks and loves attention. Recently a groups of six 12 to 6 year old girls from a Presbyterian Church helped at the shelter as a part of their missionary trip to Edisto Beach. One little six year fell in love with Bob and spent almost the entire 2 and a half hours in his kennel brushing him and petting him. He was in heaven and was such a great dog with her. She kept saying "he is the best dog in the world." We were surprised at how gentle he was with her because he is pretty energetic. Bob sits on command but doesn't stay sitting very long because he is anxious to go on his walk or be petted. He needs a nice fenced yard where he can run and play. He will be a great dog for a family with kids. He likes other dogs too! Bob is up to date on all shots, heartworm negative, neutered and ready to join your family. Your first step in adopting Bob is to fill out an adoption application. All information on the application must be completed including phone numbers and a vet reference (an old one, or a reason why there is not one) before it will be processed. Additional references and information describing your experience with dogs and why you would like to adopt Bob are encouraged. Please contact Margaret at 843-869-3869 or martowe514@gmail.com for an adoption application, more information or to set up a date and time to meet this great dog! Thank you for considering Bob for your family.
