Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Buddy
5 year old male
Bi-color Ragdoll
Buddy has had it rough: he was feral kitty that hung out in a good Samaritan's back yard and was fed quite well, then some neighborhood thug boy kitties moved in next door and started hopping the fence to beat him up. The good Samaritan noticed he had a large wound on his cheek so she trapped him to get him to the vet who neutered him and fixed him all up but she couldn't put him back in the yard due to the thugs so I took him in to try to tame him. That was two years ago...
For the first year, he made himself at home but wouldn't let me touch him. Despite his previous experience with the thugs, he loves other cats and quickly became best friends with one of my kitties; he was Teddy's little buddy, hence his name. He gradually got used to me and one day he let me pet him, he immediately decided that he loved getting pets and became super affectionate as often happens with wild kitties that have never known love before. They just eat it up! He would climb on my lap and roll over for belly rubs, he constantly rubs on my legs and is just a big lover. It took him a bit more time to get used to other people and he will still hide when visitors come over but he is gradually learning that other people will pet him, too, so he is finally ready to find his own home. He will definitely start out shy, but once he accepts his new humans, he will be the biggest sweetheart you've ever met.
Buddy has perfect litter box habits, eats very well, and LOVES other kitties so he must go to a home where he can make new feline friends. He is undaunted by the family dog and will even steal her toys. Buddy would also LOVE to have a fully secured outdoor enclosure/catio but that is not a requirement. He is fostered in Lodi, CA.
