There's nothing quite like puppy energy and silliness...and then they lie quietly on your shoulder breathing their warm baby breath. They're so pure and vulnerable that it's unbearable to think of them in a high-kill shelter! Camille, at only 14 weeks old and 12 lbs (is estimated to be full grown at about 35 lbs), was facing the end of her life before it ever began. Farfel's Texas rescuers are compassionate and loving and couldn't turn their back on this puppy...they rescued Camille just in time. Camille is starting out with great energy...the excellent results of her vetting and temperament-testing ended with a transport ticket to Colorado and a new life. She's also incredibly beautiful...with a gorgeous coat that will be silky-shiny and the purest of whites with tans and golds running through it once Camille is receiving great nutrition consistently. She also will receive a good, sudsy bath once she is comfortable in her Texas foster home. We'll post a photo of the clean and gorgeous Camille just as soon as we receive one. Camille is appropriately playful and inquisitive for her young age. She's so smart and willing...very typical of the cross of a Standard Schnauzer and a Terrier. Camillie is a very bright pup and so loving...clearly having no memory of her scary start. Since Camille is just a baby, she's a blank slate just waiting for a kind and patient human to show her the way. She has all the potential in the world to be an awesome adult companion - she will form firm bonds with her family (as well as other dogs & humans) and learn positive socialization skills through Puppy Socialization Class followed by group Obedience Classes. It does take time and commitment...yet pays off a thousand times over when you have a dog that can accompany you in the world with appropriate behavior. We're open to Camille finding her forever home with a retired couple or family with lots of energy to train and enjoy a puppy. Camille enjoys children as well but we would prefer to place her in a home with older kids that can participate in a gentle yet consistent training regiment. Camille will be up to date on her vaccinations, however her age prevents her from being spayed in Texas. Farfel's will be happy to pay for Camille's spaying and microchip upon her arrival in Colorado. This will be in line with our commitment to adopting out healthy and fully-vetted puppies.
Camille is a stunning combination of 2 non-shedding breeds... she doesn't appear to shed but due to her young age, we don't feel we can guarantee her suitability for an individual with severe allergy challenges.
