Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This handsome young man is Alistair, a German shepherd that is about 5 years old, and would just love a fresh start in life. Alastair came to us from our Newark facility when he was picked up as a stray. This poor guy was quite thin, and sick with an upper respiratory infection upon arrival. He is beginning to fill out and feel better, and he's excited about starting his life over again with a family that will love him and never let him go. Alistair is an outgoing and friendly guy that seems to love everyone he meets. Although he's an adult, he still does the puppy jumping thing from time to time but he listens very well when you ask him to sit, and he does have manners once you've got his attention. Alistair is curious and energetic, and he just loves checking out our exercise yard. He's not much into toys, but does enjoy running a few laps. Once Alistair is inside, he has good home manners. He checks out a room for a minute or two, then finds a comfy spot to lay down and settle in for a nap. Alistair is strong but he walks well on a leash. He will need a secure, fenced yard and a family that will give him daily exercise. He doesn't seem to mind most dogs and is a real people-person. Alastair is hoping for a great home of his own real soon, where he'll never feel lost or alone again. File#23708 7/11/14
