Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Peter known as “Petey” is a wonderful 7 year old boy.
Petey loves the other dogs in the house and we feel it has helped him with his shyness and his fear with people. The other dogs have allowed Petey to build his confidence. Because of this, we feel Petey should have another dog in the house to help his new found confidence stay strong, and help him continue to grow in his new home. Petey’s foster sisters are all labs, so he is fine with bigger dogs. But unlike those weird labs, Petey is not about to go swimming in the pool.
Petey says he even likes those feline things, cats as most people say it.
He is housebroken and rarely barks. We crated him for the first couple of days, but he quickly proved he was trustworthy, and has had full run of the house since then.
Petey loves the fenced back yard and could spend hours outside just smelling around. But he is also very content to lie in his doggy bed, or on what he now knows is a very comfy couch.
Petey rides okay in the car, but you can tell it is an “unknown” or “something new” to him and something he will need to learn to trust.
Walks, they are of the "he-does-okay" variety. Petey does have a fascination of wanting to get out the door, so you have to be very careful going in and out, so he isn’t going out when you don’t want him to.
The best way to sum up Petey is that he loves everybody, and everybody loves Petey!
