Simba's Story...
Hello everyone, my name is Simba and I am a purebred, rough coated, white collie. For people who did not know there are white collies we look kind of strange sometimes. I am a big collie, I weigh around 85 lbs. I am very friendly and get along with all dogs. I came into rescue with my sister, Nala. Our owners felt we could have a better life with a family(s) that had time make us part of the family, play with us, take us for walks and love us forever. Our family gave us regular vaccines, kept us on heartworm preventive and fed us good food, so we think they did the right thing by giving us to DFW Collie Rescue so we could find great forever homes. I am current on vaccines, on heartworm preventive and neutered. I am a good rider, although I do not like to get in an auto. I walk well on a leash. I am also microchipped. I am a great dog and would like to stay with my sister, but not required for adoption. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Simba, a Stephenville Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie for sale in Stephenville, or seeking a Collie dog from a breeder in Stephenville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Stephenville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Stephenville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie breeders who help with Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Stephenville paves the way for another one to be saved.
