Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Iris's story is a sad one. She was found as a stray with horrible injuries to her face and pregnant. Because she was in so much pain and her eye was so badly damaged, it needed removed ASAP. In order to do that, her puppies needed delivered early via c-section and sadly, though we gave them the best chance, they didn't survive. So Miss Iris has become very special to us. She has forgiven what someone did to her and she has moved on with a grace only animals seem to possess.
Aside from her missing eye, she is a happy chihuahua who is probably questioning how she ended up in a pit bull rescue. She is a chi through and through and is no delicate flower!! She has become full of life and spunk and fear is a word she has obviously chosen to forget. She plays with the big dogs and mothers the little dogs. She is even good with cats! Though she is good with children, she does prefer adults, so a home where children understand how to act around a dog is needed. She is not a special needs girl and is going to make a hilarious addition to someone's family. She is a very good, happy girl that bonds quickly. No need to ever feel sorry for her! She definitely doesn't!
Iris's adoption fee is $250. Adoption applications can be found at http://www.miamivalleypitcrew.com/adoption-application.html!!
