Dusky-ADOPTED's Story...
SPECIAL NEEDS: Rear Leg Damage / Lameness

Hi there! I’m Dusky, and I came to Tigerlily Cat Rescue from a local veterinarian. I have an old injury to my back leg, and so I don’t always use it or use it right! I have seen orthopedic specialists and neurologists, and all agree that surgery is not needed and it is something to monitor. It doesn’t usually slow me down – I love to romp and play, and I do get along with other kitties once I get to know them. I enjoy people too, though I am sometimes scared at first, so I need some TLC and patience to help me adjust! I would really love to find that extra special home to call my own. Do you have room in your heart and home for me?
Love, Dusky

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dusky-ADOPTED, a Sterling Heights Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Sterling Heights, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Sterling Heights.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sterling Heights already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sterling Heights breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sterling Heights paves the way for another one to be saved.
