Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DeeDee is a beautiful grey brindle Cane Corso, but she hates the door of her crate or kennel to be shut, as you can tell by her skinned up nose. She’s housebroken and completely up to date on vetting. Her owner passed away and left DeeDee not knowing what to do without her human. She was very distraught when she came to rescue, but bonded VERY quickly to the foster mom she was placed with. She bonded so deeply that she couldn’t handle the 10 plus hours she had to be crated while her foster mom was at work, so she went to a professional trainer to see if he could help with her anxiety and separation issues. Her social skills have improved greatly around strangers and strange environments since being with the trainer, but once again she has bonded very tightly to her human… her trainer and his family, including his younger daughter. She still gets very anxious if crated or kenneled and forced to be away from them. The vet has given her anti-anxiety medication with hopes she will calm down, but regardless if they help or not she will most likely do best in a home where her new owner isn’t gone for large periods of time throughout the day and with someone who doesn’t mind not crating her.
She needs someone with big dog experience and due to her size, will not be placed in a home with small children.
Deedee is truly a very sweet and even playful girl and just wants someone to love once again. Is that someone you? Please contact www.rescueahart to meet this sweet dog. Thanks!
