Laverne's Info...

I am already spayed.

Laverne's Story...
She was sadly left at a county dump down south. She was left with her friend Shirley and was way to thin and in bad condition. Both dogs are thrilled to find that they would get 3 meals a day of quality food and did not have to deal with ticks and fleas!

No dog should ever be subjected to this treatment. Laverne and Shirley are both responding well to the good treatment.

Laverne is very friendly and a very calm and well behaved girl. She is 5 years old and wants an owner that will treat her like a princess.

She is an easy dog to have around and will be content with a soft bed and gentle companionship. . Dog friendly, sharing her kennel with Shirley - both are lovely !!.

If you would like to make an appointment to meet her please contact our shelter manager Jodi 201-925-9514 or email startkayne@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Laverne, a Elmwood Park Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Elmwood Park, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Elmwood Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmwood Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmwood Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmwood Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
