Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This adorable little guy is Clay, a 6 month old cocker spaniel/terrier puppy that would just love a happy, safe home of his own. Clay came to us with his two brothers when their owners turned them in. They were the result of having pets in the home that were not spayed or neutered, and they were clearly not wanted. It's just heartbreaking to see a young, healthy puppy be as frightened and shy as Clay is, but it seems he and his brothers were not socialized or handled much at all. Clay buries himself beneath his brothers when you go to see them but once he gets outside, he relaxes a little and will come up and hide his head in your knees. Clay is still learning to walk on a leash and doesn't really know what toys are, but with lots of TLC, he is coming around and learning to enjoy life. He loves people that are calm and patient with him, and that will hold him and let him know that everything will be alright. Clay will need a home with no small children under the age of 10 but would do fine with other well behaved dogs. He wants more than anything to start over in a loving home with a family that will cherish him always. File#23934 9/16/14
