Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Oliver
5-6 year old Male Red Tabby Maine Coon
Oliver is a red tabby Maine Coon born in 2009. He is solid and muscular, with stunning green-gold eyes and the typical Maine Coon coat, requiring daily brushing. He is a perfect gentleman: sweet-natured, friendly, intelligent, playful, relaxed, and easy-going. He is also scrupulously neat.
Like most Maine Coons, he is very people oriented. He loves to hang out with his humans but doesn’t demand constant attention. He’d be happy to snooze the day away waiting for you to get home from work or shopping.
Oliver is medium-sized, and it’s a good thing he isn’t one of those huge Maine Coons, because his number one priority is to be in your lap! If you are watching TV, reading, or napping, Oliver feels that your lap is his. Of course, he will purr constantly as he luxuriates in the experience. (He might even drool a tiny bit.) In short, if you want a lap cat, this boy is for you; if you don’t, then a different cat would be a better choice for your family.
We are not sure how Oliver is around dogs, but he’d probably do fine as long as the dog did not compete for the coveted lap. Similarly, Oliver would be compatible with a gentle, non-competitive cat.
He is fostered in the Sacramento area.
