Tawny's Story...
This adorable little lady is Tawny, a 4 month old kitten that is hoping for a wonderful home of her own. Tawny has never known what it's like to have a home. She was found all by herself in someone's garage when she was just about 8 weeks old. Her mother and siblings were nowhere in sight, so little Tawny came to stay with us. She was very happy to be safe and cared for, and began making friends quickly. Tawny is just a little bit shy when she first meets you but once she gets to know you, she'll be your best friend for life. She is very mushy and sweet, and just loves life now. She gets along fine with other cats and would do great in any loving home with a family that promises to cherish her always, and never leave her all alone again. File#23697 7/11/14

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tawny, a Forked River Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
