Here's what the humans have to say about me:
All of the Farfel's Rescue employees and volunteers hi-fived each other when we got the news that Moss the Labraschnauzer (or is it a Schnauzalab...not sure) was safe and would be making his way to Farfel's. They're an up and coming popular designer mix breed for very much the same reasons the Labradoodle has become so popular). We had all been on edge all day waiting for the word that this adorable puppy was out of the shelter and truly rescued. The part that was so sad is that Moss, at only 12 weeks old, was about to be euthanized simply because the high-kill shelter had run out of cages. Moss is a virtually perfect puppy and at just 3 months old and about 12 lbs (Moss is expected to weigh about 40 - 50 lbs when full-grown) and deserves a great forever home that will give him an awesome start in life. At this point, Moss loves other dogs and every human he's ever encountered. We would love Moss's great temperament to be nurtured with loving yet clear guidelines through puppy socialization classes and group positive reinforcement obedience. He responds so well to boundaries that are clear and lovingly communicated. Moss is a healthy and active young guy who would be head over heels with joy to hike a Colorado trail and spend fun, outdoor time with his favorite people and canines. Moss is a blank slate at this point.... just waiting to be taught appropriate behavior to be the greatest adult dog ever! He has the capability to truly shine if given huge amounts of love and recognition for great behavior. We are searching for a family that is motivated to spend the time necessary to housebreak and train this young pup with the amazing temperament....they will be rewarded a thousand times over with loyalty and devotion. We think Moss would be very happy with either an active retired couple (or individual) or a family that enjoys spending lots of quality time with their pup. He's great in the car and very excited to learn the socialization skills that will enable him to accompany his family virtually everywhere they go.
Moss appears to have picked up the Schnauzer gene and seems to be a non-shedding guy. It's hard to tell conclusively, however, since he still has his baby coat. Moss will require periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep his coat shiny and healthy.
Moss is considered by Texas vets to be too young to neuter. Farfel's will be happy to cover all expenses associated with neutering and microchipping Moss when he gets to be about 16 weeks old.
Moss will arrive on transport in Denver on 10/4. If interested in this fun-loving and very sweet companion, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com. Applications are currently being accepted for this exceptional family companion.
