Hi! I'm Fran. I am a 5 year old sweet and petite 25 pound gal. My foster mom thinks I might have some doxie in me because my face is small and narrow, I'm on the shorter side, and I have sort of a longish body. But who knows, I could just be a small beagle. My nose says I'm all beagle. Boy, do I like to sniff. I have a yard to sniff around in for hours. I also love going on long walks and sniffing around the neighborhood.
My foster beagle brother, Snoopy, has helped me adjust. He takes the lead and I follow. I'm not a big holler but if another dog and Snoopy start "talking", I join in. When foster mom calls us to come inside, we listen and stop all communications with the other dogs. Since my foster brother is a senior he really doesn't want to play much. I would love a home with another dog I could play with or an active family to take me on long walks!
I am learning a lot from Snoopy and my foster family. You see, I was confiscated by the city of Chicago due to animal neglect. I lived in a backyard in a crate, poor diet, not housetrained (now I am, with the exception of an occasional accident. I am working on it though!), and not too familiar with love. The city contacted the kind folks at Midwest BREW I was rescued!
I am happy and loving! I love all other dogs I meet, I like the cats and kid I live with, and I love meeting people of all ages.... I always want to meet everyone and say "hi!"
