Jacob's Story...
In the words of our foster, Jacob is an absolute baby doll. At 10 weeks old, he was dumped on the side of a rural road like yesterday's garbage left to fend for himself. He was picked up by a woman who was going to take Jacob to the pound so that he would at least be off of the side of the road. Lucky for us and Jacob, she called us instead. He is a sweet boy who loves everyone but is shy at first. He is being crate and house trained and doing great with all the resident foster dogs. He loves to be cuddled by adults and children alike, and once he gets to know you is a friend for life. This little boy is ready for a home of his own, could it be yours? If you want Jacob to join your family, please copy and paste this link to your web browser to complete our online application, http://members.petfinder.com/~CT243/sampleform.html. Full vetting includes neuter, shots and worming, plus transport up north is included in his $475 adoption fee. We cannot be certain what his true mix is.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jacob, a Westport Chihuahua/Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Westport, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Westport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westport paves the way for another one to be saved.
