Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rumples the Red: 1- 2 yr old male Red and White Manx Kitty
Some Manx kitties have no tail at all. Some have a stubby tail an inch or two long. And some, like Rumples, have a “rumpy riser” tail which is a little piece of cartilage that sticks up and is covered with a fan of hair.. This is how Rumples the Red got his name.
He is a darling boy, good natured, affectionate. playful. He is very boyish, no one would mistake him for a girl kitty. And of course he is loving the way those red boys are. I am always partial to red kitties because of their sweet natures.
Rumples is a classic Manx with the domed curve to his back and rear legs longer than his front legs. When I first got him from the shelter I was delighted that he let me play with his little red fluff covered tail.. Nothing off limits about that tail. He is such a good boy.
When we got him he had diarrhea and we did several fancy fecal tests ( all negative ) and the vet put him on antibiotics which also did nothing and then we found that what he needed was probiotics and pumpkin and totally grain free wet and dry food. His poop is now perfect but he may need to stay on this particular diet for a while, or forever, we don’t really know. It is good food and he likes it so we are all happy. He seems to be another case of a cat who really couldn’t handle the corn and grains found in some brands of cat food.
There is not a mean bone in this boy’s body. He wants to cuddle and play. Still a teenager, he sometimes does not know what to do with all his energy. He can get overstimulated occasionally and he may reach out with his mouth to hold you in place so you will keep entertaining him.!” Don’t leave!!” He is funny ad so affectionate. Rumples is a super sensitive boy, very emotional and strongly wanting to bond with his family. He needs a safe, happy home Dogs may be OK I am not sure. Teenage children would be fine. Other gentle cats probably are ok. He also could be content as an only cat or pet. He is super friendly and quite silly as long as his companions are not dominant or aggressive.
He is definitely a comedian and will be a wonderful companion for some lucky family..
He is eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.
