Maybe is cute, Maybe is fun, Maybe she’s smart, Maybe likes to run. Our girl Maybe is all of that and much much more!
This 2 year old Parson Russell Terrier (purebred we believe) turned up as a stray at a local shelter and everyone was shocked that no one claimed her. Please don’t let the Parsons Terrier scare you off; this is not your typical Jack Russell by any stretch of the imagination.
Maybe gets along great with other dogs and she is definitely not the Alpha; she’s easy going and respectful of them. While she loves to play fetch and knows her commands perfectly, she will patiently wait her turn if another dog gets the ball first. Maybe met one cat while at the shelter and she was a bit curious but left the cat alone; however the cat did not run and was not afraid, our guess is that Maybe would give chase with a cat that ran.
Someone has spent a lot of one on one time with her as she is perfectly house trained, prefers her crate and never gets on the furniture, even when invited. She is very quiet in the house but don’t let that fool you, she loves to bark outside.
Maybe is a little under socialized and needs some time walking on a leash but again, she is brilliant and it won’t take her long to figure out that she is safe. We did find that she does not do well in a very dog/people crowded event; she attended See Spot Walk and had a meltdown of barking and carrying on; it was just too much overload for her. Other than that she is great out in public and could go most anywhere with you.
She is so smart that she would be a great dog to teach that agility and tricks; the sky is the limit with this girl. Maybe is quick, smart and very eager to learn anything you want to teach her.
Some little neighbor kids came over to visit with Maybe and while she was a bit shy, she did great. She wasn’t even a little bit aggressive with them, nor did she bark at them. Again she was just overwhelmed in a crowded situation, but did settle.
Maybe would love to have an active couple that would take her hiking with them, walks along the river, play time in the backyard. She is big on being with her people and loves attention from them.
